About pika
pika is a coed cooperative community of creative students living in an awesome house.
We pride ourselves in our diversity, welcoming atmosphere, nightly home-made dinners (which you're invited to eat for free any time!), and our penchant for building exciting contraptions, practical and silly.
We are an egalitarian society that believes that everyone can work together to build a vibrant, unique, and self-sufficient community.
Come by the house any time and someone will be around to give a house tour including the roof deck, the firepole, the chickens, the treehouse, and much more to explore.
Every night we have dinner at 6:30, and anyone from the MIT undergraduate community is welcome to come.

Build a Bionic Tree
12:00pm to 4:00pmLate one evening in the Summer of 2011, a gentle breeze began to waft its way to pika from the sea. Hours later it was the fiercest Hurricane that Cambridgeport had seen in the last 15 months. So fierce was it, that it managed to blow over at least two trash cans and a lawn flamingo on the other side of campus. Here at pika it uprooted two ancient trees which fell onto the house and destroyed half of our beloved chestnut tree. Today, we rectify that injustice by completing the remaining ghost of a tree with steel. Join us.
Frisbee
4:00pm-6:30pmMeet us at pika at 4:00pm or find us at a field on campus (call 719-330-1188 for location) a bit later for some pick-up frisbee. Then come back to the house for dinner.
